John David Buell is an author, illustrator, and screenwriter from Chicago, Illinois.
He has been a storyteller since the age of six, when he would sneak out of bed to write and illustrate picture books about his favorite monster, Godzilla. (He wrote 30 of these books in a span of two years...looking back, he admits he was a bit obsessed.)
In his stories, John seeks to share complex ideas and age-old wisdom in fresh and innovative ways. His writings explore emotional intelligence, interconnectivity, consciousness, and the power of the cosmic perspective.
After earning a bachelor's degree at Northwestern University, he moved to Los Angeles, where he is spreading his vision of an empowered, compassionate, and unified world.
